A Nottingham leisure and entertainment venue is preparing for the festive season with a complete refurb, a new website and the appointment of another manager.

The revamp of The Cornerhouse, which cost the venue £500,000, is designed around a contemporary grey and white colour scheme and includes a huge plasma screen in the entrance, new flooring and new signage.

Along with the new look at the venue, The Cornerhouse has also refurbished its online presence with a new website offering information about the centre’s restaurants and bars.

Turtle Bay, Rocket@Saltwater, Nandos, Wagamama, The Lost City Adventure Golf, Genting Casino and a 14-screen cinema complex are just a few of the companies which will be included on the new site.

Centre manager for The Cornerhouse Suzanne Green said: “Nottingham has a well-deserved reputation and it is great to be able to play such an integral part in that.”

The new retail liaison and marketing manager, Kirsty Edwards will be joining the management team in time for Christmas too, helping to further improve the events offering at The Cornerhouse.

She said: “There are some great projects and big film releases coming up to Christmas including Rogue One (Star Wars) and Fantastic Beasts and How to Find Them, and I’m excited about running some big events, competitions and promotions to go with them.”
