Traffic alert: A1 closed in Nottinghamshire

The A1 is closed Northbound between the B6326 and A46, due to a serious incident.

Nottinghamshire Police are on scene and all emergency services are in attendance.

Northbound traffic is being diverted off the A1 onto the Beckingham Road eastbound towards Coddington. At Coddington take the A17 northbound and re-join the A1 at the junction with the A46.

The Southbound carriageway was closed – but has now re-opened.

Road users are advised to expect delays and to allow plenty of time for journeys.
