New business park could bring 200 jobs to Lincoln

Commercial property agents say that 200 new jobs could be created in Lincoln, following the launch of a new business park, which has the potential to attract more than £25m worth of investment to the south of the city.
Lincoln-based Chartered Surveyor Banks Long & Co and the North Hykeham Lindum Group said the 7-acre Discovery Park on Whisby Road, holds “exciting promise” for the local economy.
Banks Long & Co director William Wall said that everyone involved in the project is confident about the prospects for the site, which is suitable for a range of businesses – and is already capturing attention.
“This is a prime location, offering excellent access to the A46, the A1 and the wider East Midlands. We expect the site to appeal to both local and regional manufacturers and also regional and national companies wishing to offer trade counter facilities.
“Commercial development land has always proved to be scarce in Lincoln and this strategic acquisition will allow Lindum to deliver much-needed employment space.
Well-known manufacturing and service companies already operating in the area include Siemens, Lincat, T C Harrison and Praxair Surface Technologies,” said Wall.
The scheme is planned to accommodate units from 4,000 sq ft upwards.
