Dollar invests £120,000 in Derby

The Money Shop, the provider of consumer finance has refurbished its store in Derby, as it looks to trial new services.
Parent company Dollar UK has invested £120,000 in the projectat The Spot, Derby, with a gala ceremony. Jean Mountain, President of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce – of which Dollar UK are proud patrons of – will officially cut the ribbon to mark the opening.
Upgrades include a new customer services area, a separate counter area for general requests and an ATM machine providing free cash withdrawals. There will also be a children’s play area and a new-look jewellery display.
Stuart Howard, CEO of The Money Shop and Dollar UK, said: “We are delighted to be investing in the local area by bringing this newly transformed store to Derby. It is an exciting time for The Money shop, and the brand as a whole.
“This not only symbolises the future of The Money Shop and the services we provide, but also the future of high-street consumer finance. At this Derby store, we will be trialling new products and services and it marks the first of many future roll-outs across the UK.”
