Boxer sets up Nottingham recruitment firm

Amy Ferris

An amateur boxer is moving back to Nottingham from London to set up a recruitment agency.

Amy Ferris is an amateur boxer and has established Place Recruitment with investors Craig Carter and Steven Green.

Ferris said: “I am the main USP. I pride myself on working harder than others, and do not give up until I have found the perfect person. I love recruiting and I also enjoy challenging clients which I think shines through in my bubbly personality. There are plenty of undiscovered candidates in Nottingham which will interest my London, Manchester and Birmingham clients wanting to set up a presence in Nottingham, as well as Nottingham candidates looking to gain experience of working further afield.”

Ferris says she will specialise in recruiting office support staff, including receptionists, up to board level PAs, accounts assistants, HR assistants, legal PAs, and legal secretaries. She has 12 years of experience recruiting for international investment firms in London and will initially focus on the financial services market and construction and real estate firms that have a presence in London, Manchester, and Birmingham.

In her spare time Ferris enjoys boxing and is a member of the Booyaar Boxing club based out of Cinderhill Gym. The owner is Chris McGrath, aka ‘Milky’, ex-boxer and MMA champion.
