Gigantic dinosaur job for ticketing company

Nottingham City Council has brought in leading ticketing agency Gigantic for the Dinosaurs of China exhibition featuring real-life dino discoveries never seen before in Europe.

With interest flying high for the world-exclusive exhibition running from July 1 to October 29 at the city’s Elizabethan Wollaton Hall, Nottingham City Council turned to ticketing provider Gigantic.

Featuring some of the largest dinosaur skeletons in existence, it’s one of the biggest exhibitions ever staged in the city and looks sets to be a roaring success with families, children and dinosaur enthusiasts.

Nigel Hawkins, head of culture, heritage and libraries, Nottingham City Council, said: “In the curation and development of the Dinosaurs of China exhibition as a standalone UK exhibition there were many challenges, however I’m pleased to say that ticketing was not one of them. As an existing ticketing provider to Nottingham City Council across a number of shows, we worked with Gigantic from the outset to create a white label ticketing solution for the event.

“Mark and the team were responsive to multiple changes as the event developed, with the end result helping us generate record advance sales, ahead of the 1st July launch in a sector that is normally reliant on impulse day visits.”

Simon Carpenter, business development, Gigantic, said: “As a full service agency with a successful decade in business, we’re able to develop bespoke solutions for event organisers, as well as offer marketing support as part of the package.

“The sheer volume of time slots and dates for the Dinosaurs of China provided a challenge, however we were able to create an innovative solution to ensure the best possible visitor experience.”
