How does one of the region’s leading Bullseye fans unwind at the weekend? We found out…

How do you relax at the weekend?
Most of my weekends involve desperately trying to be healthy! I try to get a country walk or a bike ride in, but this depends on how the weather is. Once ‘being healthy’ is out of the way, I sometimes have a cheeky glass of wine or a G&T while watching re- runs of Bullseye.

How many hours do you work at the weekend on average?
I do try to be off duty at the weekends and avoid working every weekend, but inevitably there is often some catching up required or prep for meetings. I try to limit weekend working to no more than a few hours as down time is really important.

What’s your favourite:
– Holiday destination? My favourite place recently has been India. I did a short tour of North India in 2015 and was totally blown away by it. India is the most diverse place I have ever been to, it was an amazing experience; a real assault on all the senses and somewhere I would perhaps like to explore more. I’m currently booked for skiing in Lapland next year, which will be the second time I’ve been there and I am also hoping to see Cuba before it loses its charm.

– Book? I do try to read at least a few times a week, but a favourite book would be difficult to choose. I really enjoy reading are non-fiction extracts from people’s diaries during the wars, as these offer a real personal account of our history.

– Album? Rubber Soul by the Beatles is my favourite album but it is closely followed by (Pete) Frampton Comes Alive by, erm, Pete Frampton.

– Food? Has to be Indian hands down!

– TV programme? The only show I try to watch regularly is Hollyoaks, but my grown up favourite shows have recently included Life on Mars and Suits (and Bullseye of course).

– website or app? I use the fit bit app a lot; I like the challenge of trying to beat all of the goals set each day, I can be ridiculously competitive.

How do you usually spend Sunday evenings?
My Sunday evenings are normally spent in a state of total disbelief at how quickly the weekend has gone! It’s normally a quiet time to reflect on the past week and prepare a mental list of things I want to achieve over the next week.
