New jobs created as financial consultant moves into Lace Market

Consultants to the financial sector Specialist Advisors has bought The Old School House in the Lace Market, Nottingham, in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.
Specialist Advisors has created 10 new full-time jobs at its new Nottingham base, in addition to several part-time consultancy roles.
The Old School House is a 1,366 sq ft building over three storeys.
Stuart Anderson, chief executive office of SA, said: “With clients all over the UK and overseas, it was important that we chose a location with good transport links. We also recognise that in the right surroundings employees tend to thrive. Working in a nice building with that extra bit of character, and being surrounded by quality shops and restaurants, your productivity is likely to increase.
“FHP did a great job in helping us with the purchase of The Old School House, and we look forward to many happy and succesful years here.”
Mark Tomlinson, director at FHP Property Consultants, added: “Specialist Advisors is a welcome addition to the Lace Market and beat off some stiff competition in securing this property.
“Office space in Nottingham Creative Quarter is increasingly sought after, with the area having become a hub for the creative and tech industries within the city. Values are increasing month by month with freehold opportunities especially being snapped up by growing occupiers. We are now at the point where we are providing advice on the viability of residential to office schemes.
Chris Proctor, who assisted the deal, added: “The property gained a high level of interest with a total of 6 freehold offers and two leasehold offers with SA achieving the accepted freehold offer well above the asking price.
“It has been a pleasure to complete a deal with SA and I hope we can further our relationship with the business in the future.”
