Capital One contractors die in M1 collision

The firm employing the Capital One contractors who died in the horrific M1 crash over the Bank Holiday weekend has expressed deep regret at the incident, which has killed eight people.
The workers were contracted to work for Capital One from Wipro and were travelling to London in a minibus when the collision happened at 3.15am on Saturday 26 August.
The three contractors who died in the crash have been named as Karthikeyan Ramasubramaniyam Pugalur, Rishi Rajeev Kumar, and Vivek Bhaskaran. All three were Indian nationals.
A Wipro spokesman said: “It is with deep regret and sadness that we confirm the passing away of three of our colleagues, Karthikeyan Ramasubramaniyam Pugalur, Rishi Rajeev Kumar, and Vivek Bhaskaran in a tragic road accident in the UK.
“Another colleague, Mano Ranjan Panneerselvam was critically injured in the accident and we are praying for his speedy recovery.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of all those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
“We will continue to provide all assistance to the families in this hour of grief.”
The crash happened near Newport Pagnell on the M1. Two men, both lorry drivers, have been charged in connection with the fatal collision.
