Executive recruitment firm reveals Nottingham and New York expansion plans

Scott Parsons

An executive recruitment firm which only opened in Nottingham six months ago has revealed plans to open a New York office.

Forsyth Barnes, which places executives earning £50,000 or more into new jobs, has already outgrown its Nottingham office on on Bridlesmith Walk and is set to move into a 1,200 sq ft penthouse office suite in 21-22 Castle Gate in the city.

Over the past six months the firm, which also has a London office, has grown from employing one person in Nottingham – founder Scott Parsons – to eight people. Now, Parsons says Forsyth Barnes will double its eight-strong Nottingham workforce by the end of 2018 – and is set to expand overseas.

Speaking exclusively to TheBusinessDesk.com, Parsons said: “The next stop for the company is to expand to the east coast of the US. We have clients in London who have offices in New York, and so we’re planning to have a virtual office there within six months and have a physical opened within 9-12 months.

Forsyth Barnes specialises in placing CEO and CFO level executives in roles that typically pay between £50,000 and £250,000 a year for permanent roles and £500 to £2,000 a day for temporary consultants.

Parsons added: “Our growth can be put down to recruiting the right people with the right knowledge. We’ve hit the ground running in Nottingham and we intend to carry on growing.”
