A46 closed after serious collision

Commuters are reporting delays one of the major roads into the wider East Midlands this morning.

The A46 in Nottinghamshire is closed southbound between the junctions of the B6166 (near to Newark) and the A6097 (near to Newton), while Nottinghamshire police deal with a serious collision.

Highways England is reporting diversions are in place.
