A coffee shop and dessert restaurant is expanding its Nottingham footprint after revealing plans to open a second venue in the city following a deal brokered by commercial property agency NG Chartered Surveyors.

The Pudding Pantry which specialises in homemade cake, puddings, pancakes and brunch already runs a successful restaurant from Trinity Square in Nottingham – now it is set to expand its portfolio after taking a ten-year lease on 577a-579 Mansfield Road to open The Pudding Pantry Sherwood.

Suzannah Adcock surveyor at NG brokered the deal to let the premises to Anthony Quinn of Quinn Hospitality. She said: “This is the second deal in a matter of weeks we’ve completed that has seen an independent Nottingham retailer expand their empires, and it’s always satisfying to see local companies thriving.

“The Pudding Pantry has been a big hit in Trinity Square, and I’m sure this second venue will be just as popular with the locals of Sherwood. We wish Anthony and his team all the best for the future.”

The property was previously let to Firth and Scott Insurance Brokers but is being fully modernised by The Pudding Pantry and will boast more than double the seating its city centre venue and will be open in October.

Quinn said: “We’re really excited to bring our Puddings, Pancakes and popular Brunch menus to Sherwood, we have long had ambitions to expand and the time is now right as well as the right location! We set ourselves apart from the rest due to making most of our menu from scratch including our homemade beans, ketchup and marshmallows as well as other items you’d expect, and also our friendly, efficient service.”
