Collision closes A50 in Derbyshire

The A50 is currently closed from its junction with the A6 (Thulston) to the A514 (Chellaston) with delays of at least 15 minutes covering several miles of the westbound carriageway.

Highways England says the closure is due to a road traffic collision and recovery.

For traffic approaching the closure locally, motorists are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey.

For Derby, M1 southbound traffic is advised to leave the M1 at J28 and follow the A38 southbound.

Northbound M1 traffic is advised to continue north on the M1 and use the J25 exit and the A52 westbound.
