Some 14 jobs are to be created in Chesterfield after a loan from Unity Trust Bank helped Oxdale Products, a machine manufacturing company, to buy a new industrial unit.

The development will house a growing laser cutting and profiling operation. The new jobs will be created over a 30-month period.

Oxdale Products is a family-run business founded in 2008 that supplies a range of agriculture and forestry machinery for both commercial and domestic use. The company currently have 62 products which are all manufactured in Chesterfield.

The firm will complete the purchase thanks to a loan from Unity Trust Bank, including a refinancing loan from HSBC.

Chris Butcher, director at Oxdale Products, said, “I’m delighted that Oxdale Products Limited will be expanding its business, thanks to loans from Unity Trust Bank. This development will enlarge our product range and employee base, as well as increase competition within the marketplace.”

Michael Wicks, relationship manager at Unity Trust Bank, said: “Unity Trust Bank helps organisations to prosper and contribute to economic, community and environmental change. We were pleased to be able to assist Oxdale Products Limited in the purchase of an industrial unit, which will create additional jobs within the local community.”
