Prominent Nottingham development site sold

How Chainey Place will look

A land deal in Nottingham’s Southside area is set to bring forward 150 private rented sector flats.

The site, on London Road, has been vacant for a number of years, but planning permission was granted earlier this year for a scheme called Chainey Place which will be aimed at graduates.

The buyer of the site is unknown, but Cassidy originally bought the site and worked with architect Maber to achieve planning permission in February.

David Hargreaves of FHP brokered the deal. He said: ““The challenge was incorporating the derelict building in to the new build scheme, and both Cassidy and Mabers deserve huge credit for achieving this.”

The scheme is expected to be completed in 2021.

Geldards provided legal advice on the deal.
