Jobs in the offing at fast-growing logistics firm

An East Midlands-based logistics firm which has seen its revenue increase by 78 per cent in four years is now considering expanding into Yorkshire, potentially creating a number of new jobs in the process.
Wellingborough-based KGT Logistics has seen its revenue increase from £2.7 million to £4.8 million since 2015, and its workforce has risen from 16 to 28 during the same period.
Having recently won more business in the north of the country, the haulage firm is now looking to open a Yorkshire depot to help facilitate its growth in the region.
Hollie Gill, director at KGT Logistics, said: “The business has definitely seen a lot of growth since 2015.
“Having a factoring facility in place has really helped with the cash flow of the business and this meant we could take on more employees, leading to a more productive business.”
The company has had an invoice finance facility with finance provider Skipton Business Finance since July 2015 – the point at which it began its period of sustained growth.
Tom Lawless, regional operations manager at Skipton Business Finance, said: “KGT are a long term client of Skipton Business Finance who we have an excellent relationship with.
“Both Steve and Hollie are happy to discuss how to improve the relationship and in the past have also provided us with ideas to extend our offering to the haulage sector.”
