On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Mark Jones

Social housing provider Acis has added a new director to its executive leadership team.

Mark Jones takes up the position of director of property services at the Gainsborough-based organisation, which owns and manages more than 7,000 properties across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber.

He will oversee Acis’ development pipeline and its repairs service Prime.

Jones, who joins from Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, has worked in the social housing sector for more than 30 years.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Acis team.

“I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues to work towards the organisation’s clear objectives and continue our goal of delivering for our customers.”

Elsewhere, Leicestershire-based catering company Wilson Vale has promoted one of its area managers to its operations team.

Henry Towell

Henry Towell joined the Ashby firm in 2013 as a general assistant and has steadily worked his way through the ranks, holding roles as commis chef, sous chef and chef manager before becoming an area manager.

Towell will now be responsible for an initial portfolio of two clients in Cambridge and London.

He said: “I have been mentored and supported every step of the way by my managers, members of the various kitchen brigades I have worked with and head office staff who have given me the confidence, NVQ qualifications and skills to develop.

“I have learned something from every chef along the way and it is now great to be back working with so many familiar faces. The best thing about my new role is that every day is different so that makes it really enjoyable and challenging.  I love the fact that I still get to work alongside chefs in the kitchen almost every day to help develop their skills and confidence.”
