Housebuilder to revamp 10,000 sq ft headquarters

Barratt Homes has teamed up with Absolute Commercial Interiors to revamp its 10,000 sq ft Nottingham headquarters.
The national housebuilding company is making the investment as it no longer feels its current workspace reflects the forward-thinking nature of its brand.
Work has already begun on the site at Nottingham Business Park. Spread across two floors, the refurbishment works are taking place in a live environment to minimise downtime and allow employees to continue to work in the space.
The revamped premises will enable Barratt’s teams to work collaboratively. New features include a biophilic design, private meeting booths and collaborative benches, all of which are intended to change the way in which Barratt’s employees operate, improve efficiencies and boost the health and wellbeing of staff.
Chris Southgate, managing director at Barratt Homes, said: “We’re really excited to be undergoing a fantastic refurbishment at our Nottingham office. The wellbeing and happiness of our team is extremely important to us, and we’re ready to transform our workspace into an inspirational and productive hub that our team will look forward to working in on a daily basis. We chose to partner with Absolute Commercial Interiors to design and deliver our new space, and we’re really happy with the progress so far!”
Amy Revell, sales director at Absolute Commercial Interiors, added: “We were delighted to be chosen to deliver Barratt Homes’ exciting office refurbishment. We immediately connected with their vision to break down traditional workplace barriers and create a collaborative and agile workspace which encourages teamwork. Taking inspiration from the way they create homes for their clients, we have helped to deliver a workspace that encourages a work family environment.”
