Growing menswear brand opens fourth outlet

A Lincolnshire-based menswear business has opened its fourth store after receiving funding from HSBC UK.
Coneys, which designs and sells high-end men’s clothing, has opened a new 1,000 sq ft outlet named “Cavani by Coneys” adjacent to its existing Lincoln site.
Its Cavani collection – featuring a Peaky Blinders-style of tailored suit – has proven popular since its introduction to the original store earlier this year.
Scott Crowson, director and partner at Coneys, said: “With lots of doom and gloom on the high street, our aim is to buck the trend whilst further integrating ourselves into the communities surrounding our stores. Over the years, Coneys has built up a loyal following of customers resulting in our original store starting to get a little crowded.
“Our collaboration with specialist tweed suits retailer, Cavani, has been a great success, in particular due to the huge Peaky Blinders fanbase and growing wedding market. When the unit next door came on the market, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to expand our physical offering.”
Ian Green, relationship manager at HSBC UK Business Banking Lincolnshire, added: “Coneys has built an established clothing brand within Lincolnshire and the new store represents a significant step forward for the business. Supporting entrepreneurs with their business ventures is one of HSBC UK’s main priorities. The brand has ambitious plans to roll out more stores in the near future and we would like to wish them the best of luck.”
Coneys was established in 1992 and employs 28 staff across its four sites.
