CBI Council names new regional chair

The CBI East Midlands Council has announced a major new appointment.
Darren Wilson – vice president of Industrial Minerals and CEO Europe at Swedish state-owned mining and minerals company LKAB Minerals – has become the organisation’s new regional chair.
Wilson began his career in engineering and worked in various functions and companies within Saint-Gobain before joining LKAB.
He was previously CBI vice-chair.
Richard Blackmore, CBI East Midlands regional director, said: I am delighted that Darren will be taking up the role as chair of the CBI East Midlands Regional Council.
“Having been vice-chair of CBI Council for 2019 and a councillor for three years in total Darren has strong relationships across the business community. He brings a renewed enthusiasm to the council and will challenge on behalf of members how we continue to ensure the voice of business is heard at a regional and national level.”
