Land deal paves way for new residential development

A new residential development could be on the cards in the south Leicestershire village of Fleckney following the sale of a former paddock.

The 1.82-acre site, which includes a large period semi-detached house, has been sold by Innes England to Minster Property Group with outline planning permission for 23 homes.

The Leicestershire-based developer purchased the land for an undisclosed sum.

Brett Casswell, director at the Minster Property Group, said: “We are delighted to have secured this site in the ever popular village of Fleckney, where the affordable homes will allow local people to benefit from affordable good quality housing in a central location.”

Innes England’s Joe Reilly, who brokered the deal, added: “The site was offered for sale with permission to convert the existing building into two properties and for a further 21 new houses to be built on what is currently an under-used field.

“Unsurprisingly, it attracted a fair number of bids and I am pleased to have secured the deal for my clients.”
