Hundreds of jobs at risk as digital photography firm enters administration

Picsolve, the Derby firm which works with theme parks and tourist attractions to provide digital photography, has entered administration, putting hundreds of jobs at risk.
Administrators Matt Colinshaw and Richard Hawes, restructuring partners at Deloitte, were appointed as administrators on Monday (4 May). They are currently looking for buyers for the firm.
At the time of the appointment, Picsolve had implemented a hibernation strategy across the entire business in response to the COVID-19 lockdown. The company employed approximately 160 permanent staff and 447 seasonal and casual workers, most of which had already been furloughed.
Cowlishaw said: “The mandated closure of virtually all the leisure attractions the Company operates from gave rise to an unpreceded situation for the Company and significant cash pressure. We are actively seeking a buyer for all or parts of the business to allow it to continue and eventually reopen as theme parks and leisure attractions come back online.”
