Australian beauty firm chooses East Mids for UK headquarters

Australian beauty firm BWX is set to make the East Midlands its UK headquarters following a property deal brokered by Ward Surveyors.

BWX has taken a 2,045 sq ft office building in the Leicestershire village. The firm’s brands include Sukin, which is stocked by Boots and Holland and Barrett.

Kathryn Cunningham, general manager UK at BWX, said: “As a natural beauty business with wellness at the heart of our core values, a semi-rural location with countryside views is important to us.

“Stoney Stanton is in close proximity to key retail customers, with easy access to London and the M1 motorway.

“The building is light and airy and most importantly, we finally have enough space for our lunchtime yoga classes!”

Harry Ward of Wards said: “The completion of the letting of EMP House to Australian natural beauty company BWX, despite the wider uncertainty arising from coronavirus, illustrates the strength of the commercial property market in the Midlands.

“Securing BWX as tenants is a huge boost for the local area during these uncertain times and with award winning brands such as natural skincare brand, Sukin, EMP House is likely to provide an excellent base for BWX’s continued expansion in the UK.”
