On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Accountancy firm RSM has added to its East Midlands team with the appointment of Ruth Chapman as partner.
Chapman’s new role will be within the accounting and business advisory team at the firm’s Leicester office. She brings over 25 years’ experience of advising owner managed and SME businesses and joins from PwC, where she was a director within its My Financepartner and Wider Operate team.
Chapman said: “It is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join RSM during this era of significant change. I have been blown away by the breadth of services that we offer and am looking forward to supporting the type of clients I am passionate about, as well as helping RSM to differentiate ourselves in the market by using technology. I love to be able to help client businesses grow and thrive, and to know I am making a real difference.”
Kevin Harris, office managing partner for RSM in Leicester said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ruth to RSM. She is a great asset and brings a wealth of knowledge to further strengthen the east midlands team. She is highly regarded in the industry for her people skills, significant experience in the big four firms and technical expertise.”
Lawson-West Solicitors has hired John Stables as a non-executive director and solicitor Madhvi Panchal in its dispute resolution team.
The Leicestershire law firm say it is also recruiting for other roles, including a commercial property lawyer, a company/commercial lawyer as well as an experienced private client lawyer.
Director of Lawson-West Solicitors, Ashley Hunt, said: “Law firms have not been immune to the financial difficulties surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, particularly as clients are tightening their belts to avoid unnecessary expenditure at this time, but we’ve noticed an increase in the demand for specific legal services primarily from business owners in the owner-managed business sector as well as private individuals and those with property interests.”
