Popular pub on the market for £950,000

A high-end pub and guesthouse which closed in July due to the Covid-19 pandemic is up for sale for £950,000.

Blacksmiths Clayworth, in north Nottinghamshire, is being put on the market through Christies by its owners,

Vicki and William Foers have made the decision to sell to focus on their other investment property and new business ventures outside of the sector.

Vicki said: “Blacksmiths was bought as an investment nine years ago and we are very proud of the fabulous reputation it has gained over the years. It will be very sad to sell, however my passion lies in design and I feel the time is now right to focus on running our other business and move onto new projects outside of the hospitality industry.”

Sam Ashton, senior business agent at Christie & Co, said: “I’m excited to bring the Blacksmiths Clayworth to the market. I’ve known the owners, Vicki and William through most of my time at Christie & Co. I know they have invested greatly into the venue over the years – no expense has been spared. They have created a fantastic business with multiple income streams, in a beautiful ‘destination venue’ setting, which will appeal to a range of buyers. With such huge potential, the business is crying out to be re-opened and we welcome all enquiries and offers.”

Blacksmiths Clayworth is currently on the market with a guide price of £950,000.
