Games Workshop sees turnover and profits soar

Games Workshop, the Nottingham-based fantasy games manufacturer and retailer, has said it is “delighted” with the first six months of its financial year after its forecast the revenues and profits had soared.

The firm said that for the period ending November 29, turnover would be around £185m (up from £148m last year) while profit before tax would be not less than £90m – a huge leap from £59m in 2019.

A statement from Games Workshop said: “We are delighted with the global team performance in the first half given the backdrop of major projects and some government restrictions.”

The firm said that it would paying out a dividend of 60p per share on January 25 2021.
