Green light for second phase of Long Eaton business park

Clowes Developments have been granted planning consent to speculatively build out phase 2 of Forbes Park, Long Eaton.

Erewash District Council have given the green light for three speculatively-built units totalling 45,000 sq ft.

The units will be jointly marketed by agents NG Chartered Surveyors and FHP Property Consultants. One of the units is already under offer with the agents saying that interest is “gaining momentum” on the other two.

The contractor Roe Developments are already onsite having recently completed the earthworks in readiness to start building phase 1 of the development known as Forbes Court which offers a total of a total of 32,562 sq ft across 11 trade/industrial/warehouse units. Blocks D and F have already been snapped up and will see occupiers, including national retailer, Toolstation, trading as early as Quarter 3.

Chris Proctor of FHP Property Consultants said: “More space becoming available at Forbes Park is great news for the market at a time when we continue to see remarkable levels of demand across all sizes and spheres of the East Midlands commercial property market from both tenants and potential purchasers alike. Hats off to Clowes for proactively building much needed stock speculatively across the region.”
