Well-known family law professional launches new business

One of the East Midlands’ most experienced family law professionals has struck out on her own and set up a new company.

Sushma Kotecha has established Holistic Family Mediation after leaving Stowe Family Law in March. She says her new practice will save separating or divorcing couples “financial costs and emotional strain” compared to traditional lawyer-led services.

She said: “My mission is to support couples in conflict to help them reach their own informed decisions and to keep them out of court via the Holistic Family Mediation route; a kinder, smarter and more dignified approach to separation and/or divorce. Serving them, their children (if any) and future generations.”

Kotecha has worked for many years in family law, latterly at Stowe, and before that at Shoosmiths and Glynis Wright & Co Family Solicitors, which was earlier this year bought by Nelsons.

Holistic Family Mediation officially launches on July 1.
