Former nightclub is new HQ for Nottingham multi-disciplinary consultancy

Pulse's head office at Ten Broadway

Multi-disciplinary consultancy firm Pulse Consult is set to relocate its Nottingham head office to the historic Birkin Building in the Lace Market.

The Grade II Listed building has been refurbished by property owners and developers, Spenbeck. Pulse has agreed the terms with Spenbeck to take the 2,500 sq ft ground floor space, formerly the Propaganda nightclub.

Pulse has grown substantially since its rebrand in 2018 and now has five offices across the UK. James Peake, shareholder and Nottingham office director said: “As with most businesses, we’ve faced several challenges during the past 18 months with the onset of Covid. We’ve got a great team spirit and enthusiasm which has kept our people engaged and seen us through a very difficult time. We’re now all keen to get back in the office – with the move to our new premises later this year, it makes it even more exciting to look forward to.”

Pulse originally met Spenbeck through their joint interest and participation in the annual Nottingham Hot Property charity event.

Victoria Green, Spenbeck’s co-owner and lead in heritage regeneration, lettings and design said: “We are delighted that the property’s new re-incarnation as an office has been secured off-market by such a high-profile business as Pulse. The Birkin Building is one of the most prestigious addresses in The Lace Market and we are thrilled that Pulse will now get to reap the benefits of being part of such a successful and supportive tenant community in a very special part of the city.”

Peake added: “Working with Spenbeck has been a pleasure, we share similar values and are like-minded businesses who thrive on collaboration. The heart of the Lace Market is also home to several other property consultancies and clients who we work with regularly, this move will help us to continue to develop those trusted relationships.”

Green said: “Navigating the letting process with incoming tenants like Pulse is a dream. When both tenant & landlord are on the same page and want to push the envelope in terms of a high-quality creative design, which we actively encourage in Spenbeck offices, it creates the perfect backdrop to get the most out of the company and the space alike for the duration of the tenancy.”
