Land deal to bring forward luxury apartments scheme

The site on Bective Road

A new luxury apartment scheme could be on the way in Northampton after a two-acre development site was sold on Bective Road.

FHP Property Consultants acting on behalf of Cadman Capital Group, has sold the site to Jardine Homes Limited, which intends to submit a new application for a luxury apartment scheme on the site. The site previously had consent for 293 student bedrooms and prior to this a consent for 155 residential apartments.

Phil Daniels of FHP Property Consultants said: “We continue to see strong demand for residential development opportunities in the regions and the demand for good quality sites continues to be strong with or without planning consents. We have recently concluded sales in Stoke on Trent, Coventry and Market Harborough.

“Whilst based in Nottingham, Birmingham and Derby FHP Property Consultants continue to advise clients over an extensive patch over the wider Midlands area. We are keen to identify new opportunities to discuss with our contacts in the residential development market.

“It was a pleasure to deal with the purchaser, Jardine Homes, who were represented by Paul Scotney of Proactive Development Services.”

Asha Winterflood Rivers of Cadman Capital Group said: “We are in the process of restructuring our land holdings to focus on sites for the development of high quality family housing. Whilst an excellent site, Bective Road falls outside this remit but we were pleased to sell it to a quality developer of flats and apartments.”
