One day to go until Hot Property

Nottingham Hot Property (NHP) 2021 is upon us, behind the scenes preparations are ramping up with the event taking place tomorrow.

First time sponsor Overbury – one of the UK’s leading fit out specialists – is looking forward to the event.

We sat down with business development manager Penelope Mitchell to chat through why Overbury decided to sponsor, what they are most looking forward to and how the last 18 months have been for the firm.

Mitchell said: “I’ve been attending the event for a number of years. It’s a great way to meet new people and catch up with colleagues and friends – not many events in the networking calendar manage to bring so many people together in such a fun and informal way. After the last 18 months, it will be particularly amazing to get together again and raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer. It’s such a fantastic cause and one of the reasons why we decided to become a sponsor this year.”

Since it was established 17 years ago, NHP has seen more 100 people take to the stage and has raised more than £295,000 for local children’s charities, helping to create a positive change to many children’s lives.

The chosen charity for 2021 is Young Lives vs Cancer, which helps children, young people and their families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.

Mitchell added: “Young Lives vs Cancer is a brilliant charity and one I’ve supported over the years with fundraising initiatives.

“In terms of the wider industry, we’ve focused on keeping things local and despite the obvious challenges of the last 18 months, we’ve been pleasantly surprised with how busy the market has been.
“It’s great to see the market getting back on its feet again and we can’t wait to see everyone at Hot Property. Our very own Chris Mellor is getting up on stage so be sure to cheer him on!”

Overbury is one the UK’s leading fit out specialists, delivering exceptional fit outs and refurbishments that provide outstanding offices and higher education facilities.

Alongside Overbury, the sponsors for this year’s event include Pagabo and Pulse Consult as headline sponsors, as well as CPMG, CPW, Faithful+Gould, Pick Everard, Samclo, and Shakespeare Martineu.

Joining these are PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency RizkMcCayTribe, design and print agency Ginger Root, Confetti Media Group.
