A highly-regarded Leicestershire restaurant has been sold to new owners.

Ferarri – an Italian trattoria in Quorn – has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by Roberto Isella and Liberato Mazza, following the retirement of its long-time owners, the Buttarazzi family.

The transaction has involved the purchase of the restaurant business and the grant of a new lease for the building to Roberto and Liberato which has been supported by Palbir Vadesha on the corporate aspects and James Coningsby on the commercial property elements from Nelsons.

Liberato Mazza, said: “During the lockdown, my team and I were looking for a fresh challenge and came across Ferrari when searching for a restaurant with an excellent reputation.

“Quorn is a fantastic area with a healthy customer base, which we are truly excited to welcome back to the restaurant. We invited designer Pam Dasanjh Coningsby to completely redesign the interior but kept the same delicious menu that customers have come to expect from Ferrari.”

Roberto and Liberato have operated the Timo restaurant in Stoneygate, Leicester for many years, and have worked together for more than 20 years after Roberto arrived in the UK to study restaurant management.

Roberto Isella said: “When I bought my first restaurant in Leicester 15 years ago, I used Nelsons for my property acquisition, and today they still demonstrate the same amazing professionalism that they showed all those years ago. We have many business proposals in the pipeline, and we wouldn’t consider any other law firm for our transactions.”

Palbir Vadesha, associate and solicitor in Nelsons’ corporate services team, who led the purchase of the restaurant said: “We’re very proud to have been involved in the purchase of such an iconic Leicester restaurant and are delighted that the transaction was seamless for both parties.

“Being a Leicester based law-firm, we enjoy facilitating deals that we know will bring happiness to the local Leicester community, and we know that Roberto and his team will add real value to the restaurant and the community in Quorn.”
