Pizza Punks set to pogo into Nottingham with largest-ever restaurant

A pizza, pasta and cocktails brand which calls itself “non-conformist artisans” is set to open a 180-seat restaurant in Nottingham city centre.

Pizza Punks is set to enter the city after taking a unit on Fletcher Gate in the city. The company will launch the new venue – its largest so far – in November.

Pizza Punks is owned by Hell Yeah Hospitality and specialises in sour dough pizza. It’s existing sites are in Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester and Durham. It will also launch in Liverpool in September. The company says it has more openings in the pipeline for 2023.

Pizza Punks claims to have “ripped up the rule book” by combining Neapolitan Pizza with its own sourdough starter sourced from the famous Boudin Bakery in San Francisco, which, it says, is renowned for making the “best sourdough on the planet”.

The news follows hot on the heels of Kokoro announcing it is entering the Nottingham market after taking a unit on Exchange Walk in the city.
