Weekender: Derbyshire jeweller creates Pride bracelets for Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran

Kerry Bilson of Letterbox Love

A Derbyshire jewellery business is set to provide gifts for celebrities including Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran at a huge concert in London this weekend.

Letterbox Love was established by Kerry Bilson – a former member of the cabin crew at Virgin Atlantic – during the first lockdown.

Bilson found that channelling her talent for writing poems and combining them with cute, affordable bracelets was a welcome creative release from day-to-day life during the pandemic.

The business grew quickly, receiving orders from around the globe, and now, each performer at the Capital Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium this Sunday (12 June) will receive a gift bag containing a Letterbox Love bracelet.

Stars such as Mabel, David Guetta and Becky Hill are set to perform at the Ball alongside Styles and Sheeran.

Bilson said: “It’s quite something thinking that a mega star like Harry Styles could be wearing one of our bracelets. He’s a real style icon – he’s been on the front cover of Vogue magazine – and his sequin-clad jumpsuit worn recently at Coachella would be the perfect accompaniment to the Pride bracelet we have sent to Capital HQ.”

Letterbox Love was asked to cater for 40 celebrities and, with June being Pride month, Bilson wanted the bracelets to celebrate individuality.

She said: “Each bracelet is adorned with a beautiful cubic zircona stone-encrusted rainbow centrepiece on a red chain. It is attached to a card that reads ‘Let your colours shine on through, a time to celebrate all of you’ and has been a big seller for us this month.”

Letterbox Love has also created thousands of Stand With Ukraine charity bracelets for national card and gift company Cardzone.
