Delivery management firm invests six figures in EV rollout

Parcelhub is moving to cut its CO2 emissions

Parcelhub, the Nottingham-based provider of multi-carrier delivery management solutions, has moved to cut its CO2 emissions by investing just shy of half a million pounds in electric vehicles across its regional depot network.

The company – which is part of the £820m-plus revenue Whistl Group – says several Maxus eDeliver 9 electric vans have already begun operating from its Nottingham and Dinnington sites.

The firm has invested £450,000 in the rollout and expects to add more electric vehicles to its fleet in the coming months.

Parcelhub is also in the process of installing the requisite charging infrastructure across its network.

Since its acquisition by Whistl in 2018, the company has extended its coverage and sites throughout the East and West Midlands, South Yorkshire, East London and Essex.

Steve Marjoram, managing director at Parcelhub, said: “We understand that we have an important role in reducing our impact on the environment in the areas in which we operate. Through this investment we will not only lower our C02 emissions but also those of our customers as we all try and play our part in becoming sustainable.”
