Forest part company with key recruitment staff

Nottingham Forest’s head of recruitment and head scout have both been relieved of their duties as the club seeks to address its faltering start to the Premier League season.
George Syrianos and Andy Scott have left the City Ground following a busy summer which saw the Reds spend £145m on 21 new recruits.
As we reported last week, the influx of new arrivals has seen Forest’s wage bill soar by around 94% to £24.3m, with the hike representing the biggest increase in the Premier League.
Head coach Steve Cooper was rewarded with a contract extension last Friday (7 October) despite a disappointing start to the season which has returned just 5 points to date.
The Reds recently appointed sporting director Filippo Giraldi in a bid to steady the ship, but reports suggest the club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis was party to the decision to sack Syrianos and Scott.
In a statement last week, the club said it was “important that our focus is solely on football.”
It added: “As a group we are all concentrated and will do everything we can to help the team move up the league table and once again demonstrate our qualities that led us to the Premier League.”
Forest are currently 19th in the Premier League table, one point ahead of East Midlands rivals Leicester City.
