On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Gabriella Witek-Morgan

Ryley Wealth Management has hired a new financial planner.

Gabriella Witek-Morgan joins the Nottingham firm from the St James’s Place Academy for Financial Advisers. Prior to joining the academy, Witek-Morgan graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Bsc (HONS) in Psychology.

She said: “One of my goals as a financial planner will be to champion the importance of financial advice for younger people, and to help close the gender wealth gap – especially as there are an increasing number of female business owners and entrepreneurs.”

Meanwhile, Nottingham-based utilities management consultancy BFY Group has appointed a new director of finance and operations.

Simon Day joins the business from Aon in Hong Kong, where he operated as CFO.

He said: “The team at BFY are amongst the top in the industry. The ambition to continue to grow whilst delivering high quality outcomes for clients, their customers, and colleagues is something that really aligns with my values. They’re also dedicated to attracting and developing talent, which is really refreshing. I’m looking forward to my journey with BFY Group.”

BFY’s managing partner Ian Barker added: “It’s always great to attract top talent to Nottingham, and Simon is certainly no exception – he joins with a very strong reputation in professional and financial services. He’ll be supporting our strategic ambitions through strong financial leadership and supporting growth stories to deliver excellent outcomes to clients.”
