On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

National property consultancy Carter Jonas has bolstered its infrastructure team in Nottingham with the appointment of a new partner.

Andrew Prowse joins the firm from Bruton Knowles and brings more than 15 years’ experience the role. With a background in commercial property, he has advised on land assembly for infrastructure and regeneration projects across the UK, working for national operators including National Grid, Western Power Distribution, Northern Powergrid, Severn Trent Water and Cadent Gas.

Prowse said: “I’m excited to have joined Carter Jonas’ talented team and look forward to strengthening our consultancy business here in Nottingham. Having opened in the city last year, my appointment demonstrates Carter Jonas’ commitment to increasing the firm’s presence in the East Midlands and providing tailored, expert advice to our clients here.

“My areas of specialism complement that of the existing team and will support several mandates on which we are already appointed. Equally, my appointment is a great opportunity to use my regional knowledge to help establish further Carter Jonas in the East Midlands as we continue to invest in this exciting and dynamic region.”

Elsewhere, Burton-based truck rental agency Hexagon Leasing has appointed Richard McCarthy as used vehicle sales manager.

McCarthy has almost two decades of industry experience and most recently worked in used commercial vehicle sales at Ryder Ltd.

Alan Ellison, CEO at Hexagon Leasing, said: “Richard brings a wealth of industry experience and we are delighted he is joining us at this exciting time as we continue to expand and grow the business.

“He will be leading the helm of our used commercial vehicle offering which is a big part of our ambitious plans and growth trajectory.”

McCarthy said: “I am very excited about my new role at Hexagon as I enjoy working in this industry and with the company moving imminently to a new site, it feels like a new era for us all.

“I will be focussed on building end user market sales through a combination of methods including investing in the Hexagon website and regular stock mail-outs as well as drawing on my customer and trade contacts.”
