On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Earl Shilton Building Society (esbs) has added a new face to its mortgage team.

Madi Vernon has been hired by the Society as a mortgage administrator.

She said: “I have always had an interest in the finance industry and I could see esbs as the way forward for me. With a new way for me to learn, apply and develop my skills it’s an exciting way to start my career.”

Paul Tilley, chief executive of esbs, said: “It’s wonderful to welcome more fresh faces to the Society, and we look forward to seeing Madi progress with us. We’re delighted to see the Society grow consistently to best service our members.”

Dean Adams

After 21 years as part of the Ballards Removals team, and several different supervisory roles, Dean Adams has been promoted to the role of transport manager.

Now named on the Retford firm’s Operators Licence, Adams will continue his professional development with ongoing training, coaching and mentoring whilst undertaking his new responsibilities.

Matt Ballard, managing director at Ballards Removals, said: “We are so thrilled to see Dean progress into the role of Transport Manager. He is a fantastic member of our team – having joined our business way back in 2001 as a Removals Porter.

“At Ballards, we really care about our employees and encourage them to undertake additional training and professional development in order to progress in their careers. We support them as much as we possibly can to reach their goals.

“Dean has made a great start to his new role already, getting stuck into all of the different day-to-day responsibilities that he now has.”
