Elevate Property Group unveils heart of Derby’s newest development

The initial phase of a new £50m development in central Derby is making “significant progress”, with 35% of the first 94 apartments released already reserved at Elevate Property Group’s latest scheme in the East Midlands.

The Silk yard situated at the intersection of Johns street and Castle Boulevard is drawing a diverse crowd including first time buyers, young professionals, couples, investors and downsizers.

In collaboration with sales agent Bagshaws rResidential, Elevate has introduced a sales suite, which will serve as a venue for their open day, scheduled for August 5th.

Sales and marketing director at Elevate property group, David Hofton said: “We are defying the national property picture with the Silk Yard, reporting significant early sales. 35% sold off plan for the first phase is some achievement and clearly underlines the attractiveness of the Silk Yard and the growing interest in living in this great city.”

The Silk Yard represents Elevate Property Group’s debut venture in Derby.

Bode Contracting, based in Leicestershire, has taken on the role of primary contractor and is now in the initial phases of a two-year endeavour, which aims to construct 258 homes across three main apartment blocks and a gated courtyard.

Kerri Bywater, Bagshaws residential’s also commented: “In the last month, we have seen a swathe of investment in the area, including Rolls-Royce’s 1200 jobs boost at Raynesway, a £45.8 million performance venue in the heart of the city and the University of Derby’s new business school that will house 6,000 students by 2023.

“All this means, the scheme is being very well received by local buyers, as well as investors from out of town. The message is simple, if you want to be part of the Silk Yard, don’t wait… act now.”
