Nottingham coffee shop brews up new jobs with funding deal

Nottingham’s Punch Coffee shop has received £14,500 funding from First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans through the British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans program.

The funding from First Enterprise and Start Up Loans will be used to buy new equipment and create more jobs.

Founder of Punch Coffee, Ben Bradley said: “First Enterprise – Enterprise Loans has been incredibly positive and supportive throughout the entire process, showing genuine enthusiasm for our business. They’ve supported our goals of hiring staff from the local community and purchasing key equipment.”

First Enterprise provides government-backed loans from £500 to £250,000 for start-ups and small businesses that can’t access loans from regular lenders.

Start Up Loans, a division of the British Business Bank, has recently designated Enterprise Loans East Midlands (ELEM) as the newly appointed regional Business Support Partner (BSP) for the program.

Simon Mitchell, investment manager at First Enterprise said: “I really enjoyed working with Ben and helping to finance Punch Coffee. Ben has a great brand and a really deep understanding of the customer and how to drive loyalty and engagement. The business is based in an up and coming area of Nottingham that I am sure will continue to develop.”
