Design, development and testing firm faces collapse

Quantum's offices

A Leicestershire design, development, testing firm that supplies retailers is facing collapse and is set to call in administrators.

Quantum 4, which is based in Market Harborough, has posted a notice of appointment to appoint administrators through law firm Shoosmiths.

Sister firm Quantum 4 International also looks set to appoint administrators.

Quantum 4 was set up in 2002 and offers services from conception to roll-out for the likes of AO, Tesco Money and Nespresso.

In its latest available accounts, made up to March 31 2022, the firm made a profit of almost £940,000 – up sharply from just under £300,000 the year before. It had assets of £2.85m.

At the time, the company employed 29 people.

Shawbrook Bank holds an outstanding charge of Quantum 4.
