East Midlands contractor names head of health, safety and environment

Kori Construction, a contractor headquartered in Corby is emphasising health, safety, and environmental concerns through its most recent appointment.

Richard Ball has been chosen to take charge of its initiatives in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).

Ball began his career as a design draughtsman in the Royal Engineers and eventually rose to become a senior manager, offering guidance on technical aspects of health and safety, quality, and security.

In June 2013, he transitioned to a career in the construction industry, where he continued to specialise in health and safety.

Jordan Connachie, the managing director of Kori Construction, said that Richard’s hiring will help the company expand its health, safety, and environmental services to align with the scale of the projects it is currently handling

Ball said: “In my view, there is nothing more important than the health and safety of those who work
so hard on our construction sites. It is vital that everyone working on a site gets home safely at the
end of the day.

“Kori Construction has a great record in this area but no business can rest on its laurels. Continual
improvement is at the heart of great health & safety and achieving that is what this role is all about.”
