Green light for city centre tea shop to be turned into pub
A former tea shop in Nottingham city centre looks set to be turned into a new micropub.
Plans have been approved by Nottingham City Council to turn 14 Low Pavement, the old Thea Caffea venue, into a taproom.
Nigel Patton of Bantha Bars is behind the idea, which will be called The Tusk & Raider.
Thea Caffea closed over a year ago after almost a decade in business. It was taken over in August 2020 by former customers Peter Shores, Craig Auslebrook, Connor Cargill and Gina Nikogosian, who created 30 jobs.
The venue was a tea shop in the daytime and a wine bar in the evening.
