Law firm makes ‘significant’ hire

Jonathan White

Law firm Flint Bishop has bolstered its compliance department with the appointment Jonathan White as senior risk and compliance lawyer.

White brings with him a wealth of experience after a career spanning 25 years.

Starting as a solicitor specialising in complex litigation, he spent 11 years at Harvey Ingram.

In 2010, White joined the National Accident Helpline as head of legal where he was responsible for managing all legal and regulatory issues.

In 2014, he was promoted to legal & compliance director, the same year the company was publicly listed to form NAHL Group PLC. White played a lead role in executing the group’s strategy and AIM flotation.

As a former member of the government’s Insurance Fraud Taskforce and FCA’s regulatory advisory group on claims management, he is a well-known figure in the industry.

An avid campaigner on a range of legal issues, White was heavily involved in establishing ACSO, the Association of Consumer Support Organisations, an organisation which represents the interests of consumer rights in the civil justice system.

Chief executive Qamer Ghafoor said: “Jonathan is a significant hire for the firm and will play a notable role in our commitment to managing risk and compliance. To have someone with Jonathan’s stature, prestige, and considerable experience is of immeasurable value to the firm, and is representative of our ambitious growth plans, as well as being testament to how those plans have materialised to date.”
