First look inside Island Quarter student scheme

How the interior of the scheme will look

Nottingham’s The Island Quarter has revealed new images showing the new 693-bed student accommodation that is set to open next year.

The second phase of the site to be developed, the purpose–built student scheme, will be known as Winfield Court. The scheme will be managed by accommodation provider Fresh.

Christopher Ware, property director at The Island Quarter, said: “With Nottingham facing an expected shortfall of 7,000 student beds in the coming years, we’re excited to be able to support our thriving student community with high quality housing while they study in the city. Winfield Court will provide the highest quality student accommodation and will be an excellent addition to The Island Quarter with plenty of entertainment, relaxation and future employment opportunities for them, including Binks Yard, which is already open and hosting exciting events year-round.”

Mark Cordin, head of divisional operations – central region at Fresh, said, “Opening our bookings to Nottingham’s newest student provision and our onsite marketing suite is a key milestone in the development of this accommodation. We already have an established presence in Nottingham but to be part of such a key development for the city on The Island Quarter is a fantastic opportunity to provide students with an area to live, work and socialise with so many amenities on their doorstep.”
