Staffing firm confirms £112m European acquisition

Gi Group Holding, the Italian parent company of Chesterfield-based recruitment firm Gi Group, has confirmed a deal to buy the European staffing business of NASDAQ-listed Kelly in a deal worth around £112m.

The deal, first announced in November, is the largest acquisition in Gi Group Holding’s history and increases its revenues to €5bn. It will also mean Gi extends its activities in 11 countries, such as France, Portugal and Switzerland, and additionally brings its services to Belgium, Luxembourg and Norway.
