Waxing and beauty salon sold to counterpart

A Nottingham waxing and beauty salon has been sold to a rival operator.

Beauty Temple has bought the Pelham Street premises of nkd (), the firm that was set up by entrepreneur Rebecca Dowdeswell.

Posting on social media, Dowdeswell said: “Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me through the creation and building of nkd () in Nottingham. I’m so grateful to so many people for all of the help and goodwill I have received since 2009.

“Nothing will change for our Nottingham clients. This means that the same expert and friendly therapists, using the same techniques with the same standards and the same brand of wax will still be available for all of your treatments.”

nkd () also has an outlet in Leicester.

Beauty Temple has venues throughout the East Midlands, including two in the Nottingham suburb of Mapperley, West Bridgford, Castle Donington, Loughborough, Lincoln and Stamford – as well as Nottingham city centre.
