Game on for Roxy Leisure to open new Nottingham site

Roxy Leisure is set to open its second site and first Roxy Lanes venue in Nottingham city centre this Summer.

Roxy Lanes Nottingham will focus on ten-pin bowling and feature a range of activities including American pool, beer pong, karaoke rooms, batting cages, shuffleboard, tech darts and ice-free curling.

The operator’s current Nottingham location, Roxy Ball Room The Cornerhouse, is an over 18s venue, but the new Roxy Lanes site will be open to under 18s until 5pm.

Founded by Matthew Jones and Ben Jones, Roxy Leisure opened its first Roxy Ball Room site on Leeds’ Boar Lane back in 2013. The company opened its second site and first bowling lane concept, Roxy Lanes, on Leeds’ Bond Street in 2014. Their first Nottingham site opened on Thurland Street in 2017, with a second opening in The Cornerhouse leisure complex shortly after. The Thurland Street site closed late last year

The Roxy Leisure group currently has 18 sites across the UK, following its most recent launches in York, Cheltenham and Liverpool. It also has sites across Leicester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Bristol, Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds.

Roxy Leisure’s commercial manager, Joel Mitchell, said: ”Since opening our largest Roxy Ball Room venue in Nottingham in The Cornerhouse, the site has always received the up most support from the locals. We’re really looking forward to bringing our Roxy Lanes concept to the city.

“Not only will Roxy Lanes Nottingham feature ten-pin bowling and an exciting range of activities, it will also be family-friendly until 5pm, 7 days a week.”
