Accountancy firm Duncan & Toplis has revealed a new head of payroll and a new head of tax.

Damon Tunnicliffe has been promoted to head of payroll and Graeme Hills has been promoted to head of tax.

The pair will now oversee two of the group’s largest service lines, leading two specialist teams within Duncan & Toplis as it embarks on its biggest period of growth in its almost 100 year history.

Damon Brain, CEO at Duncan & Toplis, said: “It’s fantastic to see Damon and Graeme progress to the head of their respective service lines and we welcome the expertise they will bring to these roles. We have ambitious plans for the coming years and I’m certain that both Damon and Graeme will play a key role in driving these forward.”

Nottingham-based accountancy practice Page Kirk has made three promotions.

Tom Johnson becomes manager of the accounts and audit department, Matt Walton is promoted to assistant manager of the same department, and Josh Ruthven has been appointed as assistant manager of the tax department.

Dan Portus

, the provider of IT services, has appointed Dan Portus as the company’s new chief experience officer (CXO).

He will be developing and refining the company’s customer experience programme, with a focus on consistency and continuous enhancement throughout the customer journey.

James Healey, chief operating officer at Air IT, said: “Dan’s appointment as our Chief Experience Officer underscores our unwavering commitment to prioritising the needs and satisfaction of our customers. His proven track record in leading customer-focused initiatives aligns perfectly with our vision of delivering exceptional experiences to our clients.”

Derby-based IT and telecoms company Link ICT has added to its IT support technical team with the appointment of Adam Walsh and Andy Barton.

Walsh holds several BTEC qualifications related to information systems and creative technology. He joins Link ICT as an IT support apprentice and will be mentored to provide customers with first line IT support.

He said: “I am very interested in IT and believe this apprenticeship role will enable me to build on the knowledge I have gained at college with practical ‘hands on’ experience working at Link ICT.”

Barton who is an experienced IT technician who holds various hardware manufacturers accreditations, Comptia Server, AEB Exams and numerous software skills.

He said: “Working at Link ICT has a real family feel with a great team spirit. I like the fact everyone gets involved and there is a sense of real team effort.”
